Finally got around to editing these pictures...

Isn't this picture the sweetest? What a great little snap. Well, I'm feeling totally ashamed, but very relieved that I've finally been able to edit this set of pictures. I really enjoyed taking the pictures back in May, but because of so many problems - pregnancy, my broken computer, my mummy not being with us anymore, and my extension; all my photography was put on hold. I have about 14 amazing pictures to give to my good friend Hannah in various styles - black and white, retro vintage, happy colour and a few sun bleached colour. I'm really pleased with how they all turned out, and in the end the post processing only took a few hours of work yesterday. Today the disc is all ready and I'll be dropping it over to Hannah this morning. Hope she likes it, I'm sure she'll be completely surprised, as she probably thought she'd never see these pictures.

Water Fun

I haven't posted here for quite a while. I must admit I haven't picked up my camera much over the last few months. Last night I got it out again to take pictures of the boys playing in the garden. I've used a few actions on them to sharpen them up and enhance the colour - or not. Just a shame that Tayler's picture is of him after falling hard on his bottom, poor little man.

How beautiful?

Summer, thank you for letting me take your picture today. You were a little uncertain at first, but I think this picture is so pretty of you. I'll have to come back in another 6 months to photograph how much you'll grow! Drew you were brilliant today at having your picture taken. What a star! You sat so well and looked right at the camera. A huge thank you to mummy for getting you to smile, she worked so hard. I think this picture is a good example of how cool you are, and there are so many more like it, it's so hard to choose a favourite.
Just an quick example of the pictures I took today. Hopefully it won't take me too long to process your pictures and your disc will be ready in a few weeks. Thank you so much again. I just loved taking your pictures today.

Losing your disc may be a blessing...

If only a small one. I had another look at your pictures and even after a month so many of my techniques have improved, so I've made you a replacement disc with some new picture styles. I love this little gem of a picture, I simply cropped it differently and added a few different actions. This one has a colour pop added to it. It's probably one of the only pictures I took that day when Lottie was smiling. That's not a bad thing really, I love natural pictures, they don't have to be full of smiles. I just love how Lottie looks so well at the camera. What a little star!

Happy Birthday Lottie!

Happy 1st birthday little Lottie. The pictures from your party have been processed, loaded on a disc and are ready for you to pick up. Hope you like them. This is one of my favourites. Just to let you know, Tayler had the best time ever at your party, thanks so much for the invitation! I think he'll be having a pool party next year when he turns 6. You're such a trend setter, and defiantly a real party diva!

A Happy Easter

The Camera hasn't been out quite so much over the last week or so. I've been working on the business side of things purchasing equipment and writing brochures. These pictures were taken over Easter on our family holiday. It was pretty chilly, but the boys were surprisingly good subjects.

Another one - couldn't resist!

My Beautiful Niece

I just loved being with my sister-in-law and niece today. Little Lottie is such a cutie. These are just two of my favourites. I think they capture a little of Lottie's personality. I couldn't resist working on them today, and the CD is all ready to give back with all the processing done. Defiantly a wonderful experience taking pictures, I just love it!

Pictures for our easter cards

Easter pictures of the boys. It's only a week away and I'm sure I'll be late in sending out our Easter cards, but I took these pictures this afternoon to send to family and friends. I used a colour pop action on them and I'm so please with how they turned out. Again they were taken by our library room window, the light was nicely defused and I used my reflector for the first time, gave a nice warm glow! I'm so pleased I've sent off for these to be printed and I'll display them some where at home.

Jarom alias 'Calvin'

Couldn't resist doing another. This isn't the greatest picture in the world I made the mistake of not taking much notice of the position of the sun, it was taken around 1pm with the sun right in Jarom's eyes - not great. But I just loved the rough stone background and the action used on this picture makes it look a little moody enhancing the fact that my son did not want to have another picture taken!

My Incredible Husband

Oooo so excited this morning! I finally found a couple of free PSE actions and couldn't resist trying them out. This is definitely one of my favourite pictures of Jase. I think it looks great in black and white. I've been reading about and envying the effect of actions for a while and wanted to have a little try before investing in any. I am so impressed. Only took two clicks to achieve a great look. The actions were from flicker and the picture was taken at home by our large window just last week.

My Crazy Boys

Photographs from the weekend. We went to Blaize Castle again in Bristol. The sun was quite strong and high in the sky - we struggled for shade to take pictures in. These were my favourite two.

A trip to North Somerset Museum

Quite a cute picture of Tayler. Amazing that this picture came out so well. It was taken in North Somerset Museum as the boys tried out the armour on Civil War day. There's a glass ceiling on the building, so fairly good natural defused light, so I didn't use my flash. The f/stop was set low - 4.5 and the shutter speed or exposure time was 1/40 of a second.

New Blog site created

I've created this site for the future. A space where I can show my photos. This is one of my favourite photographs taken in September 2007 in Weston-super-Mare woods of my son Jarom (then age 7) on his bike.
