Isn't she lovely...

Yesterday I had the privilege of taking a very special little girl's photographs. She brought her Mummy over to my home where I had set up a little studio especially for her. I loved every minute of our session together. She was such a good little girl and when she finally drifted off to sleep, posed beautifully for each of her pictures. I knew straight away that this shot would be special and I'm so glad I was right. This was my very first time at taking pictures of a newborn, apart from my own boys. Thank you so much, you were such a little sweetie. I have so many lovely pictures to edit now, I better get to it.

My first portfolio building session

On Saturday I went over to my good friend Jenny's home to take pictures of her beautiful daughters. The girls were so much fun to be with, as you know I am starved of a little girly time here in my home and I absolutely loved taking their pictures.

I got so many great pictures. This is the first of many. The girls new just how to pose and look at the camera, and each of their smiles was just so pretty. Thank you for spending the morning with me. I can't wait to have all the pictures edited and ready to drop round on disc for you to enjoy!

As promised, a new logo

So today my logo looks like this. I really like this one. This is the logo I keep imagining whenever I picture my business. The fonts I like and the colours I love. This is the one I'm proud of that I feel will stand the test of time (at least a couple of weeks). I can imagine packaging and promotional materials etc, I think this one is a keeper.

This little beauty has taken me weeks of work to produce. Ridiculous I hear you say and you'd be right. I have realised that designing logos is not my speciality. It was really hard to sum up my personality, with colours that I love, in a way that is simple yet eye catching. How do you think I did? I'm happy with it, for now. Who knows it may look completely different next week. I just don't want to give any more thought energy to this. I now have to work on business card designs, letter head templates, thank you cards, packaging ...
